Burren National Park
The Burren National Park is a captivating and unique landscape famous for its karst limestone rocks and formations. This sometimes barren terrain surprisingly supports a remarkable diversity of flora, including rare Arctic and Alpine species growing side-by-side. The park is also home to ancient megalithic tombs, ring forts, offering a glimpse into Ireland’s ancient past.
The park is visited as part of the Burren EBike Adventures – Red Route , and this is a great way to take in the spectacular mixture of history, archaeology and botany, as well as the breathtaking landscapes of the Burren National Park.

Burren Lowlands
The Burren Lowlands is an area of significant cultural and landscape heritage, situated to the East of the higher Burren. It is less visited than the highlands, making it a rich and rewarding place to visit. Visitors can take in historical cultural sights such as Lady Gregory’s estate at Coole, and the fascinating Museum where you can learn about her regular literary visitors such as W.B. Yeats and J.M. Synge. There is also the stunningly atmospheric Monastery and Roud Tower at Kilmacduagh Abbey which dats back to the 12th century.
The Burren EBike Adventurs Green Route, takes you right through the Burren Lowlands from Kinvara to Garryland Nature Reserve and into Coole Park Visitor Centre and Tea Rooms, and also the Round Tower at Kilmacduagh.

Cappabhaile House
Cappabhaile House is a beautiful cosy guest house located just outside Ballyvaughan village It is on a 12 acre site in the heart of the Burren, making it a perfect base to explore the Burren, Galway Bay and the Aran Islands.

Hazel Mountain Chocolate
Hazel Mountain Chocolate is a beautiful cafe and chocolate factory nestled in the foothills of the Burren. With a beautiful building and courtyard, fantastic coffee and homemade chocolate, what’s not to love!
